Our finest cut! Akaushi Wagyu Filet Mignon is an ultra premium cut of beef known for its exceptional tenderness and mild flavor. It comes from the smaller end of the tenderloin, a muscle that does very little work. STEAK KNIFE OPTIONAL!

The 12 oz "Big Danny" is named after my late father-in-law. Danny was a pro baseball pitcher, and a beef lover. He always said, "I want a filet big enough I could put laces on it and throw that sucker." Well, Danny, here's to you and a true baseball-cut filet!

Cooking Tips:

  1. To cook a perfect filet mignon, bring it to room temperature.

  2. Then season generously with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

  3. Option A: Grill it on low heat. The filet is exceptionally thick and it takes time to bring the center to your desired heat.

  4. Option B: Sear it in a hot skillet for 1–2 minutes per side, finish in a 400°F oven to your desired doneness, and rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

  5. Devour, or garnish with a pad of butter to enhance the natural flavor.
